The Impact of the 36,000-Hour Overhaul on Heat Rate and Thermal Efficiency of PLTGD Unit 1 Pesanggaran.
Abstract
Nowadays, electrical energy has become one of the main energy sources for human needs, and as time goes by the need for electrical energy will continue to increase. The high demand for electrical energy is a new challenge for electricity producers, regarding consumer demand for electrical energy. PT. Indonesia Power UP Bali is the largest electricity producer in Bali, which has a PLTDG with an electricity production capacity of 200 MW which operates with LNG gas and diesel fuel (HSD/LFO). This capacity fulfills around 25% of electricity needs on the island of Bali during normal times. Maintenance needs to be done so that the equipment is always in good condition and ready to use. One aspect that can be done in Preventive Maintenance is carrying out an Overhaul Schedule. Overhaul.36,000 Hours is one of the maintenance that needs to be done. This research was carried out by calculating using Performance Test data before and after the Overhaul was carried out, then comparing the data. The results obtained were an increase in Thermal Efficiency of 0.22% and a decrease in Heat Rate of 12.51 Kcal/kWh.
