Ketahanan Bakar Komposit Pati Singkong Dan Chitosan Dengan Mikro Jelatang
Abstract
This study aims to determine the fire resistance of composites based on cassava starch and chitosan with the addition of nettle
microfibers. The volume fraction variations used consisted of (85% cassava starch : 11% chitosan : 3% nettle microfibers : 1%
hardener), (85% cassava starch : 12% chitosan : 2% nettle microfibers : 1% hardener), and (85% cassava starch : 13%
chitosan : 1% nettle microfibers : 1% hardener). In the fire resistance test, the longest ignition time of 28.24 seconds was
achieved by the composite with a volume fraction of 85% cassava starch, 13% chitosan, 1% nettle microfibers, and 1%
hardener, while the fastest ignition time of 14.53 seconds was recorded in the volume fraction of 85% cassava starch, 11%
chitosan, 3% nettle microfibers, and 1% hardener.
