Growth Response of Dendrobium macrophyllum A. Rich Protocorm to the Addition of Various Organic Substances in In Vitro Media. Dendrobium macrophyllum A. Rich Orchid, commonly known as the Emerald Orchid, is a species renowned for its beauty, characterized by yellow to light green petals. This aesthetic appeal makes it a popular choice as an ornamental or potted plant. However, the species is frequently harvested excessively and uncontrollably, posing a threat to its population. In addition, activities such as deforestation and extensive land clearing have resulted in the destruction of its natural habitat. One conservation method employed to protect this orchid is propagation through in vitro culture. This study aims to determine the effect of organic materials on the growth of protocorms of D. macrophyllum A. Rich and to identify the most effective organic material for its protocorm development. The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, from December 2024 to March 2025. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with a single factor consist of eight treatments: D0, Dp, Dk, Dka, Dpa, Dpk, and Dpka. Each treatment was replicated six times, total 48 experimental units. The results showed that the addition of banana pulp to the MS medium produced the best outcomes in terms of the time of shoot emergence, time of leaf emergence, and root length.
