Kajian Sosial dan Nilai Geguritan Penempur Agung
Abstract
Geguritan is a Balinese literary genre whose formation consists of pupuh-pupuh. Some geguritan are formed by one pupuh and some are formed by different pupuh. In more detail, one pupuh stanza consists of several lines, one line consists of several syllables and the end of a line is formed by the final sound. This part is called the formal form of geguritan literature which in Balinese literature is called alatan tembang.
One of these geguritans is entitled Geguritan Penempur Agung, which is better known as Covid 19. Geguritan Penempur Agung contains a story about a world disaster in the form of a disease outbreak caused by the Covid 19 virus. When the world was hit by Covid 19, it was used as the theme in this geguritan. Covid 19 attacks humans as a deadly disaster, it attacks humans physically so that they become weak and even fatal. Millions of people around the world died. The message conveyed in Geguritan Penempur Agung is that everyone focuses on maintaining the health of themselves and those in their family. This will be studied in this paper.
