PEMERTAHANAN BAHASA MELALUI PERSPEKTIF DAFTAR KATA
Abstract
Following the recent study of Balinese language in the perspective of wordlist as part of the OCSEAN grant, this study attempt to investigate further the language maintenance of languages in Indonesia through using the same wordlist perspective of comparing 24 semantic fields provided from World Loanword Database (WOLD). Languages being compared are Balinese, Javanese, Sundanese, Muna, Toba Batak, and Toraja language. By calculating the percentage of borrowing, duplication, and replication available in specific semantic fields of the wordlist, mapping of the language maintenance in Indonesia can be initiated further into the future.
